- Q: How do I know if I need to supplement with 4FIBER™?
- A: Fiber supplements are especially important if the diet lacks fiber. Usually, whole fruits and veggies, along with high fiber whole grains contain fiber. If you aren't eating enough of these foods, then it is likely that you need a fiber supplement. The amount of fiber we need is about 25-30 grams a day. 4FIBER™ can help you get there if you fall short!
- Q: When is the best time to take the 4FIBER™?
- A: Some people will use fiber all day long. They will sprinkle it on oatmeal, blend it into a protein smoothie, or just use a scoop mixed into a cup of Kefir or yogurt as dessert in the evenings. Taking 4FIBER™ at night- and drinking water throughout the day- can help with regularity in the mornings.
- Q: Is there anything I need to avoid when taking 4FIBER™?
- A: You will want to avoid taking your calcium supplements (or meals high in calcium) with high fiber meals and supplements. Fiber may bind with calcium and prevent its absorption in the body, so be sure to separate them. You might also want to avoid fiber with any medications that are absorbed in the gut as well.
- Q: Can 4FIBER™ be taken during pregnancy?
- A: Unfortunately, there are some herbs in the 4FIBER™ that are not recommended for pregnant women to take. Consult your health care provider for advice on which fiber is best for you during pregnancy.
- Q: Is your 4FIBER™ gluten-free?
- A: None of the ingredients in the 4FIBER™ contain gluten; however, we cannot guarantee that the ingredients were not processed in a gluten-free facility. Many folks with celiac disease have used this product without negative effects; however, each person is different and may vary in terms of sensitivity.
